![]() ![]() However, as a purchaser of iMazing (back when it was called DiskAid) in the summer of 2015, I’m unable to use the program once they “transferred” over to iMazing. If there’s a quantifiable way to measure whether iMazing or iExplorer is better, I don’t really know. I'm not scolding you here for your attempt to acquire this app by finding others willing to help you violate the dev's licensing rules with a basic license purchase-particularly when this app is designed in part, to circumvent "anti-piracy" music-copying protection-but did you really think about how your (as yet unreplied to) plan might be received here? splitting the basic (1 mac, $40) license as you suggest is already piracy. suggestion: if you're going to pirate an app just pirate it and don't ask the internet to join you in some oddball gray area with sharing a family license. looks like it's better with music certainly and also with accessing other files from iOS in disk mode.Īlso, is sharing licenses a real thing? I mean with strangers over the internet? looking at the licenses page, you'd need to buy the $60 5-seat Family license to do what you want but I doubt that's what the dev had in mind when they added multi-seat capabilities to their base version with the Family license. I still use Phoneview for its great pdf output on iMessage backups (haven't found that in iMazing yet) but now you have me curious what iExplorer's strengths are. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc.ĭon't want to split a license with you but is this any better than iMazing? I still have a current license for the earlier app Phoneview as well but iMazing kinda smokes it for speed in particular. If you'd like to view their content together, click here.
